SENIOR MATHEMATICIAN
Location: Southern California, US

  • Advanced graduate degree (PhD) in Applied Mathematics from an accredited university
  • 3 to 5 years of computer programming experience
  • Research experience applying stochastic methods and techniques in quantum physics

The company's current focus is in seismic and radar data signal processing and analysis, with a unique approach to the category of Quantum Resonance Interferometry (QRI), as applied to non-linear signal processing. We are looking for a candidate intimately familiar with non-linear mathematical techniques to work with the founder to optimize the algorithms for our various signal analysis applications. In this senior technical role, you would eventually become a bridge between our founder and our software specialists to put our QRI algorithms into code. The qualified candidate would become part of the team developing our QuantumRD® toolkit. This is a full-time position, requiring a move to the Pasadena area to become part of the team at the main ViaLogy USA office.

We also have short-term needs for algorithm development and testing, and will consider a consulting contract for a qualified person.


SENIOR GEOPHYSICIST
Location: Southern California, US

  • Graduate (PhD, MS) degree in Geophysics from an accredited university; professional registration required.
  • 10-15 years experience in petroleum geophysics
  • Fundamental understanding and expertise in 2D/3D/4D/3C/9C seismic for onshore and offshore imaging
  • In-depth understanding of oil & gas prospect analysis workflows and site-specific customization of data conditioning, stacking, migrations, inversions, AVO and interpretation workflows.
  • Experience in designing, processing and interpretation of E&P surveys and project development
  • Track-record in reservoir discovery, characterization and sizing in structural and stratigraphic formations
  • Experience in seismic services industry or services division for the major E&P companies is desired


PROCESSING GEOPHYSICIST
Location: Southern California, US
Open date: 1 May 2010

  • Graduate degree in Geophysics (PhD or MS)
  • 5+ years work experience in petroleum geophysics
  • Well versed in processing 2D/3D/4D/3C/9C seismic survey data
  • Proficient in applying industry standard computer codes and tools for front-end seismic processing, including data conditioning, stacking, migration, inversion, AVO
  • Good understanding of seismic attribute volumes
  • Ability to program and design/customize geoseismic feature /stratigraphic extraction transforms
  • Experience with Geophysical Services company or division is a plus
